Caeli launches UK marketplace for onshore wind sites
Significant new income streams unlocked by connecting landowners with clean energy digital marketplace
London, 12 May 2026 – Caeli, the digital marketplace for onshore wind sites, has launched in the UK. At launch, the marketplace includes five sites currently available to qualified developers – two in England, one in Wales and two in Scotland. Together, they provide an early view of the types of opportunities Caeli is bringing to market in the UK: sites prepared through a structured process and presented on a comparable basis.
The five sites include one large-scale opportunity in England with a projected capacity of up to 285.0 MW, alongside a further site in England with a projected capacity of 17.1 MW and a site in Wales with a projected capacity of 39.9 MW. Two additional sites in Scotland are also available on the platform. Together, the sites show a range of project sizes and commercial profiles and are now accessible through the platform.
For developers, the marketplace offers access to sites that have already been prepared and organised for a competitive allocation process. Rather than relying on fragmented bilateral approaches, developers receive a consistent set of information and can assess opportunities on a like-for-like basis.
Caeli’s model is designed to bring greater clarity, comparability and efficiency to the early stages of onshore wind development. Each site is prepared through a structured review of technical, planning and commercial parameters before being introduced to the market. Qualified developers can then participate through a transparent digital process.
Caeli manages and moderates this process to ensure consistency and transparency throughout, while final decisions remain with the landowner.
“With the UK marketplace now live, we are creating a clearer and more efficient route for landowners and developers to come together at an early stage,” says Hans-Georg von Lewinski, Managing Director of Caeli. “Our focus is on making site allocation more transparent and more comparable, helping both sides move forward with greater confidence.”
Caeli plans to expand its UK marketplace pipeline over the coming months, working with landowners, advisors and developers to bring further sites to market.
